Fish Tank Lab

Purpose: The Purpose of this lab is to show you the appearance of your hand at different angles when you stick it in a fish tank.
Materials: one hand, a fish tank, writing utensil, paper.
Procedure:
Step one: stick one finger half way in a fish tank, observe it and write it down.
Step two: look at your finger from the side, observe it.
Step three: write down the differences and angles of your finger from the different positions you observed.

STUDENTS IN INKSTER HIGH SCHOOL SCIENCE CLASSES ARE REQUIRED TO BRING A 3- RING BINDER TO CLASS EVERY DAY. THE TEACHER WILL PROVIDE FOUR DIVIDERS FOR STUDENTS WHO NEED THEM; THEY WILL ALSO GIVE GUIDANCE TO HELP STUDENTS ORGANIZE THEIR WORK IN THE BINDER. CREDIT WILL BE GIVEN 1 - 3 TIMES EACH TRIMESTER FOR KEEPING AN ORGANIZED, COMPLETE BINDER.

Each student is required to enter the classroom and immediately complete a 4 - 5 minute writing assignment, called the "DO NOW" assignment. This assignment is written on the board in each classroom. The class proceeds according to posted lesson steps. Homework is posted on the board each day. The AIM for the day (the concepts and skills addressed, according to benchmarks established by the Michigan Department of Education) is also written on the board.
